Wiseman is a small mining community in the Brooks range of Alaska. Located high above the arctic circle it was founded around 1919. Built on the permafrost, most of its building have been sinking slowly into the ground. It has been define as a happy community in a 1930 book. This sign post is a testament to the spirit of the population of 21 as of the last census.
